Grass crops that deliver. An essential part of livestock farming. Selecting from this range of cutting leys offers producers the option to prioritise feed value, protein and quantity.

QC Silage.png

Designed for maximum yields of high ‘D’ Value silage, this ley has closely matched heading dates for easier management. Suitable for two and three cut systems, QC contains perennial ryegrasses with high ‘D’ Value and yield ratings which consistently produce large crops of quality forage throughout the duration.

Murray Jewel.png

A medium term ley for quality silage production plus aftermath grazing. Top yielding varieties with high ‘D’ values and sugar content are included to produce quality silage over two and three cuts. A higher tetraploid inclusion with closely matched heading dates are selected to achieve desired Forage Quality Target.

Xtra Grass.png

Where up to five cuts of silage are required, ‘Xtra’ Grass is the ideal ley. The inclusion of hybrid ryegrass produces big cutting yields and fast regrowth. Their deep rooting behaviour is particularly suited to light sandy and drought prone soils due to it’s excellent drought resistance. Timely cutting is however essential to achieve good ‘D’ Values.

Claret is ideal for Protein Rich Silage production plus weaned lamb finishing. Red Clover being the dominant species, delivers heavy crops under low nitrogen management. Perennial tetraploid ryegrass is included to increase cutting yield and improve rumen balance of grazing lambs. The selection of lower crowned varieties also has improved Red Clover longevity.
